Willie Nelson, the 92-year-old country music icon, has made a significant lifestyle change by giving up smoking marijuana. In a recent interview, Nelson revealed that his lungs have forced him to stop smoking, but he still occasionally enjoys edibles. “I can’t smoke anymore.

My lungs have already said, ‘Don’t do that.’ So, I don’t really do anything now much except a few edibles,” Nelson said. Despite this change, Nelson remains an advocate for marijuana legalization and owns a cannabis company called Willie’s Reserve. He believes it’s only a matter of time before marijuana is legal nationwide.

“It’s just a matter of time in this country before it’s legal,” he said. “I feel like I bought so much, it’s time to start selling it back! I will make sure it’s good or it won’t be on sale.

There should be a menu just like in a restaurant because there’s so many different kinds of pot that do many different things.”

Nelson has been open about his marijuana use over the years and has famously smoked with several celebrities. One of the most legendary tales involves him smoking pot on the roof of the White House, which former President Jimmy Carter later revealed was with one of his sons. In 2019, Nelson gave up smoking cigarettes, but his publicist clarified that he still “tastes the flower” and hadn’t changed his marijuana use until now.

Despite putting down the pipe, Nelson remains busy with new music. His latest album, “Oh What a Beautiful World,” aims to spread joy and positivity. “I think it’s time we try to make people happy and talk about the good things and be positive,” he said.
