Patrick Mahomes and his wife, Brittany, celebrated the Fourth of July on a yacht in Miami with friends. The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback showed off his physique in blue swim trunks and red sunglasses. Brittany wore a blue one-piece swimsuit and a white cover-up.
Brittany shared photos on social media, captioning one, “Had the best time with my peeps.” The images showed the couple enjoying their time on the boat, with Patrick sporting a white tank top in some shots. The Mahomes duo seemed to be in high spirits throughout the festivities. They soaked up the Miami sun and enjoyed time with their friends.
The images and stories shared by Brittany captured a joyous and relaxed atmosphere. This holiday celebration comes after the couple learned that the WNBA turned down their bid to bring an expansion team to Kansas City.
Mahomes enjoy July Fourth in Miami
The Mahomes are already involved in women’s soccer with the Kansas City Current. “You see how Kansas City has embraced all sports that have been in the city, especially women’s sports,” Patrick said during Super Bowl week in February. “I’ve seen it firsthand with the Kansas City Current.
I know if we were able to get a WNBA team to Kansas City, it would be packed every single night.”
However, Kansas City wasn’t on the league’s radar. The WNBA announced on June 30 that Cleveland, Detroit, and Philadelphia were their picks for 2028, 2029, and 2030, respectively. Instead of dwelling on the WNBA snub, Brittany and Patrick let off some steam over the Fourth of July weekend.
They cruised along the coastline and enjoyed time with friends on the yacht. The couple, both 29, continue to share moments from their personal lives with fans. They seemed to have a great time celebrating the holiday despite the recent business disappointment.
