Abhishek Bachchan, a prominent Bollywood actor, has recently shared his thoughts on avoiding sexually explicit films since becoming a father to his daughter, Aaradhya Bachchan. In a candid interview, the actor opened up about his discomfort with such roles and his desire to create content that he can comfortably watch with his daughter. Bachchan’s recent film choices, including “I Want To Talk” and “Be Happy,” have focused on the father-daughter dynamic.

In “I Want To Talk,” he played a terminally ill single father, while in “Be Happy,” he portrays a widower who is the father of an aspiring dancer. The actor explained that his decision to avoid sexually explicit content is influenced by his own experience of fatherhood. “Maybe something that’s very sexually explicit… I’m very uncomfortable with that.

I don’t like showing all of that on screen,” Abhishek shared. He added that ever since becoming a girl dad, he loves to pick films that he can watch with his daughter. Bachchan also highlighted the importance of considering how his daughter might perceive his roles.

Choosing father-friendly film roles

“I don’t know how she’ll possibly feel seeing that, ‘What’s he doing?’ I’d like to consider that,” he said. In the interview, Abhishek mentioned that his response to a script is primarily emotional rather than analytical.

“The one thing I’m never going to do is evaluate my films. The minute I start evaluating an emotion, you’re done. You hear the story, did it touch you?

Yeah? Go for it! It has to be an emotional response,” he added. Fans have praised Bachchan for his thoughtful decision, recognizing that actors do not necessarily need to perform explicit scenes if they are not comfortable with them.
