Avril Lavigne is teaming up with Paliskates, a beloved skate shop in Pacific Palisades, California, to help rebuild after the shop was destroyed in the recent wildfires. Lavigne first connected with the shop’s founder, Erica Simpson, when she made a surprise appearance in a commercial for the shop that aired during the Grammy Awards. Inspired by Simpson’s story and the shop’s role as a community hub, Lavigne decided to continue the relationship by launching a limited edition sweatshirt collaboration.

The sweatshirt features a punk rock design that blends Lavigne’s signature style with the shop’s skate-forward roots. It was designed in collaboration with local artists and screen printed in Los Angeles. Lavigne is covering the production costs and donating all proceeds from the sweatshirt sales to help rebuild Paliskates.

“The skate shop is more than a store—it’s a place where skaters and artists have called home for over 25 years,” Lavigne stated. “Doing this merch drop is one piece of helping them regain what the fire took away.”

Simpson shared that the shop has served as a second home for generations of skaters and surfers, growing into a multi-generational community.

“We are proud to support up-and-coming skaters, sponsor local events, and give young people a safe place to hang out and create,” she said. The exclusive merch drop is set to go live on Tuesday, May 6 at 8 am EST, with quantities being extremely limited. Fans can also donate directly to the rebuilding efforts.

Simpson hopes that Paliskates can continue doing more drops and collaborations to elevate their brand further, noting that “Avril elevated the Paliskates logo and brand, showing us what is possible for future collaborations.”
