Drake has taken a subtle jab at LeBron James during a recent concert in Australia by changing the lyrics to his hit song “Nonstop.” The original lyrics, which referenced LeBron, were altered to “How I go from 6 to 23 but not LeBron,” signaling a continued rift in their once-close friendship. The feud between Drake and LeBron appears to stem from LeBron’s support for Drake’s rival, Kendrick Lamar. LeBron showcased his support for Lamar by rapping to his diss track “Not Like Us” during a Pop Out show on Juneteenth.
In response, Drake unfollowed LeBron on Instagram and has maintained friendships with other NBA stars who have distanced themselves from the feud. Although Drake hasn’t publicly addressed the split with LeBron, his actions speak volumes.
Drake jabs LeBron in concert
During his Australian performance, he made symbolic gestures, such as walking onstage with smoke-emitting bullet hole designs on his shirt, alluding to his resilience after the rivalry. Drake also highlighted his enduring career during the concert, stating, “My name is Drake. I started in 2008, I came all the way from Toronto, Canada.
The year is now 2025, and no matter what, Drizzy Drake is very much still alive and that’s all thanks to you.”
Despite the ongoing controversy, Drake continues to make significant moves in his career. He is currently on tour and reportedly planning to release a joint album with PARTYNEXTDOOR on Valentine’s Day. However, the fallout with LeBron James remains a lingering issue in the background.
