Manchu Vishnu and Manchu Manoj, who have been making headlines for their family disputes, are now back in the spotlight with their upcoming film projects. The brothers, who filed police complaints against each other, remain estranged and are not on speaking terms. However, the focus has shifted from controversy to cinema.
Manchu Manoj is making his return to acting after a long hiatus with “Bhairavam,” which is set to release on May 30. He has been actively promoting the film and is also set to appear as an anti-hero in the superhero movie “Mirai,” scheduled for a September release. Manchu Vishnu is busy promoting his high-budget devotional film “Kannappa,” which is gearing up for a June 27 release.
After a nine-year hiatus marked by personal challenges, Manchu Manoj is making a powerful return to Telugu cinema with two contrasting roles in “Bhairavam” and “Mirai”. In “Bhairavam,” Manoj portrays Gajapathi Varma, a character that promises to captivate audiences. In “Mirai,” he takes on the challenging antagonist role of “The Black Sword,” a formidable villain in a high-budget fantasy adventure directed by Karthik Gattamaneni.
Manoj’s comeback has been met with enthusiasm from fans and peers alike, marking a significant milestone in his career. Critics and audiences agree that he is an exceptional talent who brings substantial depth to his roles. In a recent interview, Manoj shared how he received concern and support during challenging times in the past.
Manoj returns with contrasting roles
Following his separation from Pranati Reddy, Manoj had withdrawn from the public eye and spent some time in an ashram in Rishikesh. Upon returning to Hyderabad, he married Mounika Reddy, the elder daughter of the late politician Bhuma Nagi Reddy.
However, he continued to stay away from films and started living in Chennai. Manoj mentioned that he was always encouraged to make a comeback on the Telugu silver screen. “I was supported and stood by.
I haven’t disclosed this ever before. During a particular movie shooting, I was asked to come. We had a long discussion.
I was chided for putting on weight and told to drop it. That’s the bond we share,” he said. On the work front, Manoj is gearing up for his upcoming sci-fi film titled “Mirai.” The film has created quite a buzz for its visual grandeur and adventure.
Manoj plays the antagonist in the film, which is set to release in theaters in September this year.
