A fan managed to sneak onto the set of “Avengers: Doomsday” at Pinewood Studios in the UK over the weekend. The fan, known as @theyneversawitcoming on social media, posted footage of their espionage on TikTok and Instagram before Marvel Studios had the clips removed. The video, titled “Sneaking into Avengers: Doomsday set,” shows the fan in a balaclava climbing a tree and jumping over a small fence to access the set.
Despite the breach, the footage revealed little about the movie, mostly focusing on the production’s catering spread and some blue screen setups, suggesting a CGI-heavy film. However, the fan did discover one crucial hint about the upcoming Marvel movie.
Madripoor setting revealed
The footage confirmed that “Avengers: Doomsday” will feature scenes set in Madripoor, a fictional island nation well-known to comic fans for its association with Wolverine’s alias “Patch.” Madripoor made its MCU debut in “The Falcon and The Winter Soldier.”
The presence of Madripoor strongly suggests that Sharon Carter’s arc will continue in the film. Carter, played by Emily VanCamp, was last seen in the finale of “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier,” where it was revealed that she had secretly become the supervillain Power Broker, Madripoor’s de facto ruler. The fan also stumbled upon signage for “The Webslingers Inn,” though it remains unclear whether this relates to the movie or is an inside joke among the crew.
Additional speculation suggests that the Madripoor set might also connect to Spider-Man, possibly hinting at links to “Spider-Man: Brand New Day.”
The fan ended their video by casually strolling off the set, echoing Captain America’s memorable walk in “Avengers: Endgame,” adding a final caption, “Up the security, too easy.” The breach highlights considerable security concerns, and the studio is likely to track down the individual responsible for trespassing. “Avengers: Doomsday” is set for release on May 1, 2026, and will feature one of the largest casts ever assembled for an MCU film, including the return of Robert Downey Jr., now in the iconic role of Victor Von Doom. The film is expected to be followed by “Avengers: Secret Wars” on May 7, 2027.
