Playboi Carti took the stage at the 2025 BET Awards in Los Angeles on Monday night. He performed two tracks from his latest album, “I Am Music,” which was released in March and quickly topped the charts. The stage was transformed for Carti’s set, featuring two black luxury SUVs.
One of the vehicles served as a platform for a dancer. The stage was lit in black and white, with rapid flashes of his album, music, and label logos behind him. Carti himself added a pop of color with a bright hoodie.

Carti is known for his high-energy performances, but his BET Awards set was notably subdued. He smiled and spoke warmly to the audience before exiting the stage.
“I love y’all, I appreciate y’all,” he said. The performance was part of Carti’s ongoing appearances on The Weeknd’s “After Hours Til Dawn” tour across North America. The Weeknd, who is featured on Carti’s track “Rather Lie,” was not present for the BET Awards performance.
The 2025 BET Awards featured several other notable performances throughout the night. Lil Wayne, Teyana Taylor, and more also took the stage, making it a memorable evening.
