Erika Jayne opened up about her estranged husband Tom Girardi during the final part of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills reunion. When asked by the host why she hasn’t finalized her divorce from Girardi, to whom she was married for 21 years before filing in 2020, Erika replied, “I don’t have an answer for that other than my divorce attorney reached out to me the other day and was like, we need to get on this. Also, truthfully, that was like the lowest of my problems.
What difference does it make? Divorcing an incompetent person, I don’t know how that works.”
Girardi was found guilty of four counts of wire fraud in August after allegedly embezzling more than $15 million from former clients. His attorneys have said he’s been battling dementia and are pushing for hospitalization instead of prison as he awaits sentencing.
When asked if she ever thinks of visiting him, Erika responded, “I thought of visiting him, and this is going to sound cold, when he passes away. There’s nothing to say to this person because he’s not talking clearly.

He’s not there. There’s nothing for us to say to one another. I’ll never get answers to the questions that I still have.”
She added, “It’s so very sad.
I’ve worked really hard to make my peace with it, move through the grief, and let go. Nothing good would come of this.”
When questioned whether she believes Girardi is guilty now that he has been convicted, Erika simply stated, “It doesn’t really matter what I think the law does, that’s really where it is.”
Erika also mentioned that others who turned their backs on her amid the legal battle have not yet come back around. Despite the challenges, she said her relationship with her son, Tommy Zizzo, has gotten stronger, which is all that matters to her.
“The one thing I gained out of all of it was a closer relationship with my child and, this sound hokey, but it really is true,” Erika said. “Great, if that’s what it took to lose everything to really strengthen my bond with my son, fine.”
