San Francisco is set to welcome a unique attraction at Pier 70 with the establishment of Elevation Sky Park, a “multi-sensory playground” slated to open in 2026. The park aims to transform the aging Dogpatch area into a bustling destination for concerts, art shows, and other immersive events. Brookfield Properties, the owner of the site, plans to install a series of geodesic domes as part of the 165,000-square-foot complex.

These domes will be reminiscent of the Las Vegas Sphere but will come in a smaller trio format. The entire complex, featuring three geodesic domes and a pyramid, will have the capacity to host nearly 2,500 people and is expected to operate for five years. Elevation XR, a San Francisco company known for organizing immersive art and music events, will be managing Elevation Sky Park.

The company has prior experience in creating similar attractions, having previously operated Wisdome LA and built domes at the Burning Man festival. Sean Ahearn, founder and CEO of Elevation XR, shared his vision for the project.

“Elevation Sky Park is more than just a new venue—we’re creating a space for people to come together, reconnect, and experience something truly unique,” he said. “From live music and art to wellness events and educational journeys, our goal is to build a cultural hub that celebrates innovation, creativity, and the incredible local talent that makes San Francisco so special.”

The park will showcase productions inspired by musical legends like The Beatles, Pink Floyd, the Grateful Dead, and Daft Punk, complete with top-tier cover bands and immersive visuals. According to the developers, these structures are currently being built in Europe and will be shipped to San Francisco.

San Francisco’s Mayor Daniel Lurie highlighted the role of the arts in the city’s rejuvenation. “Elevation Sky Park will transform Pier 70 into a one-of-a-kind destination for immersive art, music, and community connection,” he stated. The ambitious project is part of the city’s effort to breathe new life into Pier 70 and contribute to the vibrancy of the local community.

It comes on the heels of another successful project at the site, which saw the restoration of a former shipbuilding area into a vibrant market hall for restaurants, artisans, and a padel and pickleball club. As San Francisco gears up for the opening of Elevation Sky Park in early 2026, residents and visitors alike can look forward to a unique and immersive experience that promises to redefine the city’s cultural and recreational landscape.
