Mexico City is buzzing with excitement as Art Week 2025 kicks off. The event promises a vibrant array of openings and performances across the city’s renowned art fairs – Zona Maco, Material, and Salón Acme. Despite political uncertainty and budget cuts, Mexico City’s art scene continues to thrive.

Enrique López Llamas’s solo exhibition “El otro protagonista de la noche” at Llano Gallery features sculptures, paintings, and film vignettes. It draws from pre-Hispanic dance rituals and features a sawfish sculpture adorned with mud and gold. Monterrey-based painter Lucía Vidales presents “Pillo y Bebé” at Galería Karen Huber.
