Miley Cyrus’s latest album, “Something Beautiful,” has seen a significant drop in sales during its second week. The album fell out of the HitsDailyDouble.com Top 50 chart and dropped to number 25 on iTunes and 21 on Amazon. Total sales reached just 77,000 according to Luminate.

Projected figures from the second week estimate only 12,000 sales, with streams decreasing to 9.7 million from 21 million in the first week. Columbia Records did not confirm these numbers, but the decline is clear. The album’s disappointing performance has been attributed to a miscommunication in marketing strategy.

Despite the success of her previous hit, “Flowers,” Cyrus has faced challenges in maintaining momentum.

Album sales drop significantly

Some speculate that her management, led by her mother, may have contributed to this setback.

Miley’s talent is evident in her intimate YouTube performance of “More to Love,” where she sings with just a piano. However, she has expressed a disinterest in large tours, possibly relying on her past financial successes. A limited tour with Dolly Parton has been suggested as a way to reconnect with audiences and secure commercial success.

Such a collaboration in select cities could potentially be a major hit. While “Something Beautiful” is not a bad album, it has suffered from poor marketing and possibly mismanagement. Fans and listeners will be watching to see what Miley Cyrus’s next move will be in her dynamic career.
