LCD Soundsystem has released a new edit of their song “Home.” The edit was made by Tom Sharkett of the band W. H. Lung. The song will be released on a 12-inch vinyl.

One side will have the vocal version, and the other side will have an instrumental version. The label DFA Records said, “It wasn’t really hiding, just sitting quietly online. But Tom Sharkett’s edit of ‘Home’ was too good to ignore.”

The edit first got attention when it was played on NTS Radio by DJ Flo Dill.

Dill played it twice on one show. LCD Soundsystem is currently performing in London at the Brixton Academy.

H. Lung released an album called “Every Inch of Earth Pulsates” last year. Sharkett’s edit brings an ’80s feel to the original song from 2010.

It has more electronic sounds and fewer drums than the original. The vocals blend in with the music as the song goes on. You can listen to “Home (Tom Sharkett Edit)” to hear this new version of the LCD Soundsystem classic.
