Ben Affleck and Matt Damon attended the afterparty for the premiere of Affleck’s film “The Accountant 2” at the SXSW Film Festival on March 8 in Austin, Texas. Damon was joined by his wife, Luciana Barroso, to support his longtime friend and collaborator. Claire Danes and Adrien Brody were spotted front row at the Lacoste Fall-Winter 2025 fashion show during Paris Fashion Week at Roland-Garros on March 9.

The two actors enjoyed the latest designs from the iconic French brand. In his return as Christian Wolff in “The Accountant 2,” Ben Affleck delivers a compelling performance as the autistic savant who leads a double life as an accountant for dangerous clients and a formidable action hero. Directed by Gavin O’Connor and written by Bill Dubuque, the sequel offers a more coherent and entertaining narrative compared to its predecessor.

The plot revolves around Wolff being enlisted by Marybeth Medina (Cynthia Addai-Robinson), a deputy in the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network, to help save a family of Central American refugees.

The mystery deepens with the assassination of Medina’s boss and the introduction of an enigmatic assassin played by Daniella Pineda.

Affleck’s portrayal of Wolff remains captivating, with his intentional stoic demeanor and emotional restraint enhancing his efficiency as an action hero. The film’s pacing allows for a blend of suspense and methodical progression as Wolff meticulously investigates, uncovering hidden clues with his exceptional skills. The sequel also features the dynamic between Wolff and his brother Braxton, played by Jon Bernthal, adding depth to the storyline through their tension and dark comedy.
