The latest episode of “9-1-1” titled “Sick Day” takes a dark turn as the team faces a deadly virus outbreak. The episode begins with a bus crash that sets the 118 into rescue mode. Ravi misses a baby in a car, but Bobby saves the infant in a daring move.
The main plot involves scientists Allen, Roz, and Moira working in a high-security lab. Moira develops an expedited incubation period for Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever (CCHF) to test an antidote. Her methods horrify her colleagues and supervisor, Dr.

Deadly virus outbreak traps heroes
Banting informs them that the fire is in the level studying CCHF, described by Hen as “Ebola’s nastier cousin.” The team ventures into the lab, rescuing Allen and Roz, while Ravi goes on a rogue mission to save Moira despite the danger. An explosion traps Bobby, Chimney, Hen, and Ravi inside the lab, with the threat of the virus aerosolizing.
Chimney, whose mask is blown off, guides Bobby through a chest-tube placement on Hen. As Army Colonel John Hartman arrives to assist, it becomes clear that time is running out. Hen needs immediate medical intervention, and Chimney begins showing symptoms of the virus.
Roz reveals that Moira conducted unauthorized gain-of-function research, creating a faster-incubating strain of CCHF. With the virus posing a massive threat, the military considers sacrificing the 118 to prevent an outbreak. However, there’s hope as Roz mentions that Moira had also developed a cure, which is now missing.
The episode closes on a cliffhanger, with Ravi risking possible terrorism charges to find the antidote, only to discover it has been taken by Moira. The fate of the 118 hangs in the balance, leaving viewers eagerly awaiting the next episode.
