The highly anticipated horror film “I Heart Willie” hits theaters nationwide for one night only on Tuesday, February 26, 2025. Directed by Alejandro G. Alegre, the movie is a sinister reimagining of one of the most iconic cartoon characters in history, extending far beyond Walt Disney’s beloved Steamboat Willie.
“I Heart Willie” centers around popular YouTubers Daniel and Nico, who are invited to investigate a haunted property rumored to be plagued by a malevolent force. The legend speaks of a boy born with deformities, resembling a human-mouse hybrid, used as inspiration for Steamboat Willie. This boy, known as Willie, was abused and isolated, leading him to craft a bodysuit from the skins of trespassers.
Over the years, his gruesome legacy faded into folklore, only to be revived when a series of disappearances reignite interest. As Daniel and Nico set up for a night of thrills, they unknowingly step into a deadly game of survival.
