Joe Tate finds himself in grave danger as he is kidnapped on Emmerdale next week. Fans will recall how a shady doctor secured Joe a new kidney after he was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease. Upon discovering that Will Ash was a match, a transplant was carried out without Ash’s knowledge, saving Joe’s life.
However, this desperate act made Joe plenty of enemies in the village. Despite thinking he had seen the back of his troubles, new threats emerge and target Joe. He takes a shovel to the head and wakes up in a suspicious location, very confused and scared.
In a harrowing twist, Joe awakens in a makeshift hospital room with a menacing figure looming over him. Ned Porteous, who plays Joe, admitted he was delighted to be reunited with his co-star for these tense scenes.
Joe’s harrowing new dilemma
“He’s a really lovely guy to work with, and the character he built is fun. It’s got more dimensions than just a helper, and I think it’s cool. It serves as a very interesting dynamic, and hopefully, the audience likes what we do with it,” Ned said.
Ned expressed pride in the work he did alongside his co-star and is eager to see how it plays out on screen. “Playing Joe is always fun, regardless of the scene or storyline. It’s great to explore the character in diverse scenarios, from feeling in charge to the world falling apart,” Ned added.
The highly anticipated episodes are expected to keep viewers on the edge of their seats as the revenge plot against Joe unfolds. Will Joe be able to escape this dangerous situation or will his past actions finally catch up with him?
