In a surprising turn of events, actor Justin Baldoni has decided not to refile his defamation claims against Blake Lively. This comes after the initial dismissal of his $400 million lawsuit on June 9. Baldoni, who co-starred with Lively in the film “It Ends With Us,” had accused her of sexual harassment and leading a smear campaign against him.

Liman dismissed Baldoni’s suit, ruling that Lively’s allegations were made within privileged court papers.

“The Court’s decision on the motion to dismiss has no effect whatsoever on the truth that there was no harassment nor any smear campaign,” Freedman stated. He also reiterated that Baldoni’s quest for vindication remains undeterred. “He knows who he is and what he hasn’t done.

He wants the truth to come out and is waiting for his day in court,” Freedman added. Lively’s reaction to the dismissal was one of relief. A source close to the actress revealed that she “cried with relief” upon learning of the ruling.
