Youthful Look

Kris Jenner, the famous “momager” of the Kardashian-Jenner clan, has recently turned heads with her remarkably youthful appearance. Speculation is rife that the 67-year-old may have undergone a deep plane facelift to achieve her stunning transformation. A representative for Jenner confirmed that Dr.

Steven Levine of New York City performed her recent work, but did not specify the exact procedure. Plastic surgeons who have not treated Jenner have weighed in on her new look. Dr.

Patrick Davis, a Beverly Hills plastic surgeon, remarked that Jenner appears “youthful and natural,” which he attributes to a “well-performed procedure.” He hypothesized that the structural elements of her face seem lifted to reset her skin tissues, and that a fat transfer may have contributed to her healthy distribution of fat. Dr. Jonathan Kaplan, a board-certified plastic surgeon from San Francisco, concurred, noting that Jenner has achieved an “incredible result” that likely stems from a deep plane facelift.

This technique, also known as a Superficial Musculoaponeurotic System (SMAS) facelift, involves making incisions behind the hairline and around the ear to lift and tighten deeper facial tissues and muscles.

Kaplan explained that the benefit of a deep plane facelift is that it allows for a more natural, vertical reset of the tissues, which re-attach in a broader way for a more durable result.

However, he emphasized the importance of choosing the right type of facelift for each patient, especially those who have had multiple facelifts in the past. Experts agreed that all surgical procedures carry some level of risk, including infection, nerve damage, and bruising. The greatest risk with the deep plane technique is facial paralysis, which can be temporary or permanent.

Davis noted that while these procedures are not debilitating, there is some cosmetic downtime that varies from patient to patient. Kaplan added that bruising is typically minimal and can be easily concealed. For optimal results, doctors stress the importance of selecting a board-certified facial plastic surgeon who specializes in the specific type of facelift being considered.

They also emphasized the need for patients to share detailed medical histories and lifestyle information during consultations. Davis advised finding a surgeon with extensive knowledge in facial plastic surgery who can provide well-hidden, tidy incisions. He noted that being comfortable with your surgeon is crucial, as they will support you through the entire process.

Choosing the right surgeon and being well-prepared can significantly enhance the outcomes and recovery experience for patients undergoing facial rejuvenation procedures.
