Michelle Obama recently had a lively conversation with Airbnb CEO Brian Chesky on her podcast, “IMO.” During the episode, Chesky shared a story about an enthusiastic Airbnb user who refreshed the website thousands of times to book a stay at his personal home. Obama joked that if she were single, she would be interested in staying at Chesky’s house. “I have to say, Brian, if I’m a single girl out there and I find out that Brian Chesky is single and I can like, stay in his house…” she said, leaving the thought unfinished but suggesting she finds him appealing.
Chesky, who is currently single, revealed that Michelle and her husband, former President Barack Obama, have tried to set him up on dates before.
Podcasts and playful matchmaking
Michelle admitted, “I’m very invested in Brian’s love life.”
The 43-year-old CEO humorously noted that Barack’s matchmaking skills “[remain] to be seen.” However, he acknowledged that the former president has provided him with relationship advice.
Despite the flirty exchange, Michelle, 61, remains happily married to Barack, 63. The couple has been together since 1992 and has two daughters, Sasha, 23, and Malia, 26. The lighthearted banter on the podcast showcased Michelle’s sense of humor and the close relationship between the Obamas and Chesky.
It also highlighted the Obamas’ continued support for Chesky in his personal life.
