The Canadian rock band Nickelback has scored a major chart win, despite being the frequent target of online jokes and memes. The band’s 2005 album “All the Right Reasons” landed at No. 9 on the recently released Top 200 Albums of the 21st Century chart, which ranks the best-selling albums since 2000.

The album, which features hit singles like “Photograph,” “Far Away,” and “Rockstar,” was the band’s first release with former 3 Doors Down drummer Daniel Adair. By the time “All the Right Reasons” was released, Nickelback was already a massive success in their home country, having scored three consecutive No. 1 albums in Canada.

In the United States, Nickelback’s previous albums, “Silver Side Up” (2001) and “The Long Road” (2003), had both cracked the Top 10, reaching No.

6, respectively. “All the Right Reasons” took the band’s success to new heights in the U.S., topping the albums chart for one week and achieving Diamond certification, signifying sales of more than 7 million copies. Despite the countless jokes and memes circulating online about Nickelback’s supposed lack of quality, the band’s popularity remains strong.

They currently boast more than 21 million monthly listeners on Spotify, with many of their songs racking up hundreds of millions of streams. The track “How You Remind Me” from “Silver Side Up” has surpassed 1 billion streams on the platform. While chart success and album sales do not always equate to quality, the numbers clearly demonstrate that a significant number of people continue to listen to and enjoy Nickelback’s music, even if some claim to dislike the band.
