Netflix’s new reality series “Million Dollar Secret” brings together 12 strangers who compete for a million-dollar prize at a picturesque lakeside estate on the west coast of Canada. Among the contestants is Harry Donenfeld from Maui. “The production company and Netflix put their heart and soul into this, and it shows,” Donenfeld said.
The premise is simple: one contestant secretly has a box with a million dollars, while the others try to figure out who has the cash. Donenfeld, 59, is one of the older contestants.

He brings a lot of experience, having worked many jobs over the years, including as Maui County’s Film Commissioner. “I’m a photographer by trade,” he said. “It took about six months of back and forth with the show’s producers to get my spot.”
Shot at a stunning lakeside estate, the series has a lot of visual appeal.
“I hope people see it the way we do, and that this will become a big series and a huge success for Netflix,” Donenfeld remarked. Netflix is releasing the series in sets of three episodes. To find out who wins, viewers will have to keep watching.
