Slaughter To Prevail has announced their new album “Grizzly” will be released on July 18 via Sumerian Records. The announcement comes with the release of the lead single and music video for “Russian Grizzly In America.”
Alex Terrible, the band’s co-founder and vocalist, shared his thoughts on the upcoming album. “I think this is the best album we have ever written.
We put so much effort into it. We spent a lot of time on every detail and really poured our souls into the songs,” he said. Terrible, who recently relocated from Yekaterinburg to Orlando, Florida, made the album announcement just days after revealing on social media that he adopted two bear cubs named Kodi and Harley.
He was inspired to get involved in their care by his neighbor who rescued the cubs. While Terrible doesn’t want to ask fans for financial support directly, he mentioned that proceeds from new merchandise featuring the cubs will go towards their care. “I will drop some merch with these lil cutie pies and you will buy it.
New album release July 18
All money will go to them. Stay brutal,” he said.
In addition to the album release, Slaughter To Prevail has several US festival appearances lined up for the summer. They will perform at Inkcarceration in Mansfield, Ohio, on July 19, Louder Than Life in Louisville, Kentucky, on September 2, and Aftershock in Sacramento, California, on October 4. Fans can watch the official music video for “Russian Grizzly In America” now on YouTube.
The song features lyrics in both English and Russian, delivering a powerful and energetic metal anthem. The humorous video shows Alex Terrible and a bear enjoying fish-out-of-water adventures in Los Angeles, with a cameo from UFC heavyweight fighter Alexander Volkov. “Russian Grizzly In America” is just a taste of what’s to come on the full “Grizzly” album, set for release on July 18.
