Tamra Judge has reportedly quit “The Real Housewives of Orange County” following a heated altercation with castmate Gretchen Rossi during a cast trip to New Orleans. The incident occurred during the filming of Season 19 and escalated into a shouting match between the two long-time rivals. Photos that captured the intensity of the confrontation were leaked to the press, leading Tamra to express her frustration on Instagram Stories shortly afterward.

“Tamra quit in the middle of the New Orleans trip with the girls,” a production member revealed. “It was just after filming an emotional scene that turned into a heated discussion and then a shouting match with Gretchen and Shannon.”

The production source added, “Ultimately, Tamra can dish it but she can’t take it, which longtime viewers well know. She’s overreacting and throwing a tantrum like a child because she isn’t getting her way.” The crew member suggested that Tamra was seeking attention, noting, “She said she’s done for good, but if the money is right, she will be back.”

The animosity between Tamra and Gretchen dates back to RHOC Season 4 in 2008.

Tamra once tried to get Gretchen “naked wasted” during a dinner party at her home. At the time, Gretchen was engaged to Jeff Beitzel, who later passed away.

tamra’s abrupt RHOC departure explained

Last season, when a fan asked Gretchen about her feelings toward Tamra, she didn’t hold back, calling her “evil, manipulative, and conniving.”

As speculation mounts over Tamra’s departure, some suggest there may be other factors involved. For example, Tamra’s best friend and former “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star, Teddi Mellencamp, is currently battling cancer. Since her diagnosis with stage 2 melanoma in October 2022, Teddi has undergone numerous surgeries, including a recent brain surgery after announcing the cancer had spread.

On the March 10 episode of his show, Housewives executive producer Andy Cohen asked viewers to be compassionate. “The thing that is at the top of my mind is that Teddi, if not her friend, is going through an incredibly intense health crisis,” Andy noted. “So maybe keep that in mind.”

Despite Tamra’s dramatic exit, it’s uncertain whether she will permanently leave the show.

“She said she’s done for good, but if the money is right, she will be back,” the insider hinted. The situation remains fluid, and fans are left wondering if Tamra Judge’s departure is indeed final or just another twist in the ever-dramatic world of RHOC.
