Walton Goggins is ready to bring the laughs as he prepares to host “Saturday Night Live” this weekend. In a new promo for the show, Goggins jokingly speculates about which cast member might meet their demise in the season finale. The actor, known for his role in the hit HBO series “The White Lotus,” engages in a playful exchange with cast member Marcelo Hernández.

Goggins insists that someone is bound to die, drawing parallels to the dramatic twists in “The White Lotus.”

“Colin Jost, Michael Che, murder-suicide!” Goggins exclaims, referring to the show’s “Weekend Update” anchors. Hernández quickly corrects him, reminding Goggins that “SNL” is a different kind of show and that no one is actually at risk. Undeterred, Goggins continues his humorous predictions.

He suggests that cast members Heidi Gardner or Chloe Fineman might be the culprit, before settling on Bowen Yang as the prime suspect. “It’s Bowen. It’s always been Bowen, it will always be Bowen, because he hates you,” Goggins declares with mock seriousness.

Goggins’ playful SNL predictions

In a surprise twist, cast member Michael Longfellow sneaks up behind Hernández and pretends to stab him. Goggins reacts with feigned shock, exclaiming, “Wow, I did not see that coming! Prestige television!”

Goggins’ “White Lotus” co-star Aimee Lou Wood expressed her excitement for his upcoming hosting gig.

While she won’t be making a cameo appearance, Wood praised Goggins’ comedic skills, saying, “He’s going to be incredible doing SNL. Like, it’s the perfect thing for him to do. He’s going to be hilarious.”

Walton Goggins will make his “Saturday Night Live” hosting debut on May 10, alongside musical guest Arcade Fire.

The band will be promoting their new album, “Pink Elephant,” set to release on May 9. “Saturday Night Live” airs every Saturday at 11:30 p.m. ET/8:30 p.m. PT on NBC and streams live on Peacock. The show, created by Lorne Michaels, is produced in association with Broadway Video.
