Shudder, the premier streaming service for horror fans, has an exciting lineup for March 2025. The platform offers a diverse range of content, from gripping originals to classic horror films. One of the highlights is “The Rule Of Jenny Pen,” directed by James Ashcroft and starring Geoffrey Rush and John Lithgow.
The story follows Judge Stefan Mortensen (Rush), who finds himself in a retirement home after a near-fatal stroke. There, he clashes with fellow resident Dave Crealy (Lithgow), who is secretly orchestrating a sadistic game called “The Rule of Jenny Pen.”
Another original film is “Bloody Axe Wound,” directed by Matthew John Lawrence and starring Molly Brown. The movie centers on teenager Abbie Bladecut, who is torn between her family’s macabre business of capturing real-life killings on tape and her budding feelings for her first crush.
“Starve Acre,” directed by Daniel Kokotajlo and starring Morfydd Clark, is set in 1970s rural England.
March 2025 horror highlights
It follows Richard and Juliette’s seemingly perfect family life as it spirals when their son starts behaving oddly.
Dark discoveries soon consume their lives. Shudder will also feature classic and cult horror films, such as the original “Evil Dead” (1981) and its 2013 remake, both telling the story of five friends who unwittingly release demons while staying in a remote cabin. “Army of Darkness,” the continuation of the Evil Dead series, will also be available.
The streaming service will host special events, including Shudder TV Watch Parties every Friday at 9pm ET. These will feature the Season 7 Premiere of “The Last Drive-In With Joe Bob Briggs,” an Irish Horror Watch Party, a “Coming of Rage” Watch Party, and a “Devastating Horror” Watch Party. Other notable films coming to Shudder in March 2025 include “30 Days of Night,” “Silent Hill,” “Nosferatu: A Symphony of Horror,” “The Cabinet of Dr.
Caligari,” “The Phantom of the Opera” (1925), “We Have Always Lived in the Castle,” and “Sator.”
