Li is shocked to learn that her sister Poppy had a relationship with Finn years ago when Poppy stayed with them. Finn reveals to Li that Luna is actually his daughter, not Poppy’s. Li is devastated by the news of Poppy taking advantage of her son.
Finn, close to tears, explains that Poppy lied to him about Luna’s parentage. At first, Li has a hard time believing it, but she accepts the truth after seeing the results of a paternity test. She finds out that Luna is at Bill’s house and tells Finn to go there, worried about what might happen.
At Bill’s place, Steffy insists that Luna should go back to prison, even though Luna begs and says she has changed. Ridge and Taylor show up, and Ridge confronts Bill about putting Steffy’s safety at risk. Bill tries to justify what he did by telling them about the abuse Luna went through in prison.
But Taylor argues that Luna was serving her time and keeping Steffy safe. Just as Finn arrives, Luna desperately pleads with him for help. She begs her father, saying they can help each other heal and that she can prove she has changed.
Everyone looks to Finn to see what he will decide, and the tension is high. The next day, Steffy and Ridge can’t believe that Chief Baker let Luna go free after she was unexpectedly pardoned. Luna is relieved, but Finn is clearly shocked by what happened.
Li confronts Poppy’s past deceptions
At the same time, Sheila and Deacon talk at Il Giardino about Luna’s actions and how they affect their loved ones, especially Tom and Hollis. Deacon has a hard time with his feelings towards Poppy, hinting at a complicated family history and painful memories.
Back at Bill’s, Li angrily confronts Poppy about past betrayals and manipulations involving Finn. Poppy tries to defend herself, but Li is still furious. Steffy and Ridge are very angry with Bill, thinking he had something to do with the pardon.
Luna, now free, promises to make the most of her second chance. But Steffy coldly tells her to cut ties with Finn. At home, Taylor confronts Ridge about Bill’s role in getting Luna released.
Ridge agrees that Bill used his influence. Taylor is outraged and has a hard time dealing with the new situation. Bill admits to Luna that he arranged her pardon even though he knew it would cause problems.
He encourages her to take advantage of this chance but says she has to leave his house to avoid more conflict. Steffy and Finn struggle with what it means for Luna to be free, especially the idea of Luna trying to have a relationship with Finn. Steffy insists that Finn must not make the same mistakes as before, referring to the complicated situation with Sheila.
As the episode ends, Luna thinks about her future and her relationship with her father. Meanwhile, Steffy urges Finn to take action to make sure Luna fully pays for what she did in the past.
