The film got a 77% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, which is a good start even though there are not many reviews yet. “Another Simple Favor” is the sequel to the 2018 movie “A Simple Favor,” which made $97.6 million worldwide.

Paul Feig directed the new movie, and Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick are back in their roles. The cast also includes Henry Golding, Andrew Rannells, and Bashir Salahuddin.

In the sequel, Lively plays Emily Nelson again, and Kendrick is back as Stephanie Smothers, who loves true crime and solving mysteries.

The story takes place in new places, like Italy, which adds new elements to the plot. The early reviews show mixed opinions.

Nate Richard says “Another Simple Favor” is not what you expect and does not just copy the first movie’s story. Mae Abdulbaki thinks the film is fun and enjoyable in a ridiculous way, but it is not as suspenseful as the original. Chase Hutchinson does not think the sequel is as entertaining as the first film, even though Lively and Kendrick give strong performances.

Director Paul Feig said in an interview that “there’s more fun stuff to be done with these characters,” which suggests there could be another sequel in the future. “Another Simple Favor” is notable for Blake Lively because it is her first sequel role since “The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2” in 2008. Lively is also dealing with a legal issue related to another project with Justin Baldoni, so her performance in this sequel is getting attention.

The movie will be available to stream on Prime Video starting on May 1. We will have to wait and see how audiences react to it once more people can watch it.
