In a surprising turn of events on “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” Season 16 Episode 9, a prophet made an appearance at Cynthia Bailey’s annual Juneteenth “Bailey-cue.” The episode, titled “The Prophet at Lake Bailey,” saw the ladies attempting to move past the drama from their recent trip to Nashville, where tensions had reached a boiling point between Porsha Williams and Angela Oakley. Cynthia, hoping to bring the group back together, invited the prophet to her party. The spiritual advisor began giving readings to the housewives, adding an unexpected layer to the already tense atmosphere.

Angela, who had not spoken to many of the women since the heated exchange in Nashville, found herself clashing with Brit during the event. The conflict between Angela and Porsha stemmed from a controversial comment Porsha made, suggesting that Angela “should f–k Charles,” referring to Angela’s husband, former NBA star Charles Oakley. Angela, who overheard the remark, confronted the group immediately.

“Five seconds later, my ass was down those stairs. They thought they saw a ghost. I just lost it,” she recalled.

Porsha defended her actions, attributing the comment to the lighthearted, alcohol-fueled atmosphere of the evening.

However, Angela felt disrespected not only by Porsha but also by the other women who laughed along with the remark.

In an attempt to resolve the issue, Cynthia forced Angela and Porsha into a room to discuss their differences. Porsha offered an apology, though its sincerity was questionable. Cynthia also tried to mediate between Angela and Shamea Morton, but the conversation ended with the two agreeing to disagree.

Throughout the episode, the housewives navigated various family matters and personal challenges. Shamea met with a potential surrogate as she considered expanding her family, while Brit helped her mother move out of her house. Porsha interviewed a potential au pair for her daughter, with her ex-fiancé Dennis McKinley joining the meeting.

As the season progresses, the aftermath of the Nashville trip continues to impact the dynamics within the group. Angela remains cautious in her relationships with some of the other women, referring to them as “Porsha’s puppets.” The ongoing conflicts and attempts at resolution promise more dramatic moments in the episodes to come. “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” airs on Sunday nights at 8/7c on Bravo and streams on Hayu in the UK and Ireland.
