Nicolas Cage and Christian Bale have been revealed in their roles as John Madden and Al Davis in an upcoming biopic about the legendary NFL coach and commentator. The first images from the film, directed by David O. Russell, showcase Cage and Bale’s transformations into these iconic figures.
Cage, known for his versatile acting career, will portray Madden, who not only coached the Oakland Raiders to a Super Bowl victory in 1976 but also became a household name through his work as a television personality and the face of the popular “Madden” video game franchise. Bale, an Oscar-winning actor, takes on the role of Al Davis, the influential owner and de facto General Manager of the Oakland Raiders. The film also features a talented ensemble cast, including John Mulaney, Kathryn Hahn as Madden’s wife Virginia, and Sienna Miller as Davis’ wife Carol.
