YooA, a former member of the popular girl group Oh My Girl, has signed an exclusive contract with Saram Entertainment. The agency announced the news on June 2, expressing their delight in supporting YooA as she begins her acting career. “YooA is an artist with limitless potential and talent,” Saram Entertainment stated.

They pledged to fully support her as she expands her career in various fields. YooA debuted with Oh My Girl in 2015 and gained widespread popularity through hit songs like “Secret Garden,” “Dolphin,” “Nonstop,” and “Dun Dun Dance.” She also made a strong impression as a solo artist with her 2020 debut album “Bon Voyage,” followed by releases like “Selfish” and “Borderline.”

Although her exclusive contract with WM Entertainment ended on June 8, YooA will continue her activities as a member of Oh My Girl.

YooA’s new career path

In a heartfelt handwritten letter to fans, she wrote, “Oh My Girl is my foundation. I will continue to give my all to the team.”

YooA is set to make her acting debut in the upcoming film “Project Y” (working title). In the movie, she will portray a character who attempts to steal gold bars in a desperate bid to escape a harsh reality.
