David Corenswet stars as the iconic Man of Steel in the upcoming “Superman” reboot, directed by James Gunn. DC Studios has released a new TV spot, offering fans exciting glimpses of new footage. The movie boasts a stellar cast, including Nicholas Hoult as Superman’s nemesis, Lex Luthor, and Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane.

Other notable cast members are Isabel Merced as Hawkgirl, Edi Gathegi as Mr. Terrific, and Nathan Fillion as Green Lantern Guy Gardner. Kevin Smith, a filmmaker and Superman enthusiast, shared his positive outlook on the reboot.

He expressed admiration for the trailer’s return to a more “comic book-y” feel, highlighting elements like Superman’s classic costume and the inclusion of Krypto, the Super-Dog. Smith also discussed a theory linking the popularity of Batman and Superman to the country’s socio-economic state.

He suggested that current conditions are perfect for a Superman resurgence, as people seek a symbol of hope during tough times. The movie’s synopsis describes it as a blend of epic action, humor, and heart, envisioning a Superman driven by compassion and a belief in humankind’s goodness. Warner Bros. has also shared posters spotlighting the Daily Planet’s editorial staff, including Clark Kent, Lois Lane, and other characters played by Skyler Gisondo, Wendell Pierce, Mikaela Hoover, and Beck Bennett.

Additional character posters feature Superman’s frenemies and enemies, such as Lex Luthor, The Engineer, Eve Teschmacher, Metamorpho, and Rick Flag Sr. The highly anticipated “Superman” reboot is set to hit theaters on July 11, 2025, with an international release beginning on July 9, 2025. As excitement builds, fans eagerly await the return of the Man of Steel to the big screen.
