As Carpenter sang backup harmonies, Duran Duran’s frontman Simon Le Bon and bassist John Taylor took center stage, much to the delight of an enthusiastic crowd. The performance concluded with a playful wolfish howl, adding a fun twist to the beloved hit.
Before her guests joined her onstage, Carpenter had the audience howling at the moon.

“I also thought it might be fun if I brought out some friends of mine from the U.K. I’m going to need you guys to put that howling to good use. But everybody please give it up and make so much noise for the legendary Duran Duran,” she told the crowd.
Le Bon and Taylor received thunderous applause as they took the stage. Le Bon took the lead while Carpenter sang harmonies.
Sabrina Carpenter thanks fans for selling out two nights of 65,000 people at BST Hyde Park:
“I believe two years ago, I was playing a show here for about 5,000 people. And before that, I was opening for many different talented artists and I was dreaming of this day and moment.” pic.twitter.com/YirUv1SQkw

She then led the second verse, prompting the crowd to join in with their best wolf howls as the song concluded.
Carpenter’s Hyde Park shows featured impressive lineups of opening acts, including Amber Mark, Beabadoobee, and Clairo. On Sunday, an amusing moment occurred when Clairo and actor/comedian Ayo Edebiri, who directed Clairo’s music video, were playfully “arrested” by Carpenter for being too hot. The light-hearted interaction added to the evening’s entertainment, showcasing Carpenter’s engaging stage presence.
Surprise duet delights London crowd
The two-night event at Hyde Park underscores Carpenter’s talent for blending contemporary pop with timeless classics, creating memorable experiences for her audience. Carpenter is set to headline Lollapalooza in Chicago on Aug.
3, ahead of the release of her new album, “Man’s Best Friend,” on Aug. 29. This album follows 2024’s “Short n’ Sweet,” which she is currently touring.
In a recent interview, she explained her decision to release new music so soon after her last album. “If I really wanted to, I could have stretched out ‘Short n’ Sweet’ much, much longer,” she said. “But I’m at that point in my life where I’m like, ‘Wait a second, there’s no rules.’ If I’m inspired to write and make something new, I would rather do that.
Why would I wait three years just for the sake of waiting three years? It’s all about what feels right. I’m learning to listen to that a lot more, instead of what is perceived as the right or wrong move.”
Carpenter’s North American tour runs through November.
