Amy Schumer and Will Forte star in the new Netflix comedy “Kinda Pregnant.” The film features a hilarious sex scene that required careful choreography and an intimacy coordinator. Forte said the intimacy coordinator, Nicole Callender, helped make everyone comfortable during the shoot. “It’s so good to have and puts everybody at ease,” Forte said.
In the scene, Forte’s character, Josh, lands in bed wearing oven mitts and an eye mask. This quirky detail aligns with the film’s humorous tone. “Kinda Pregnant” follows Lainy (Schumer), a woman who wears a fake pregnancy belly out of jealousy for her pregnant best friend.
She meets Josh (Forte) while wearing the faux bump and continues the charade as they start dating. Forte and Schumer have known each other for years, which both actors found beneficial when performing intimate scenes.
Amy and Forte’s hilarious collaboration
“Ultimately, it’s easier with a person you are friends with,” Forte explained. Schumer also shared behind-the-scenes details about the sex scene, which was physically challenging as she had to bounce on a yoga ball. “It was extremely physically challenging,” Schumer said.
“Thank God for intimacy coordinators.”
Schumer and co-star Jillian Bell recently talked about the film and joked about faking orgasms in the bedroom. They imitated their best “When Harry Met Sally” fake orgasms. Schumer also reacted to her “Porn Teacher” skit being the most streamed “Saturday Night Live” sketch.
“It’s not the funniest scene at all, it’s just that the word ‘porn’ is in it,” Schumer said. “Kinda Pregnant” is available on Netflix starting February 5.
