Deftones kick off 2025 U.S. tour

The Deftones are back on the road for a massive U.S. tour in 2025. The alt-metal legends kicked off the tour with a bang, delivering a 19-song setlist packed with fan favorites and surprises. The band opened their shows in Portland, Seattle, and Sacramento with the classic “Be Quiet And Drive (Far Away)” into “My Own Summer (Shove It).” They also dusted off some rarities, including “Hole In The Earth” from Saturday Night Wrist for the first time since 2019 and “Bored” from Adrenaline for the first time since 2018.

Chino Moreno and company are bringing their A-game to huge venues across the country. The setlist is a mix of hits like “Swerve City,” “Rocket Skates,” “Sextape,” “Change (In The House Of Flies),” “Minerva,” and deep cuts that will satisfy die-hard fans. The Deftones are joined on the road by Fleshwater and The Mars Volta.

The Mars Volta frontman Cedric Bixler-Zavala made headlines when he gifted a personal burned copy of the band’s unreleased ninth album to a food delivery person who turned out to be a fan. In a recent interview, Chino Moreno gave an update on the Deftones’ next album, the follow-up to 2020’s Ohms.

“It’s getting very close to being ready,” he said. “We’re excited.”

The Deftones’ tour continues with stops at Madison Square Garden on April 3 and the Prudential Center on April 9. They are also set to play the Shaky Knees festival in Atlanta later this year.

Fans can expect a high-energy show filled with classic songs and maybe even a preview of new material.
