FKA twigs has announced that she will not be able to perform at Coachella or any of her other scheduled tour dates in North America this month due to ongoing visa issues. The British singer expressed her disappointment and devastation in a heartfelt message on social media. “I’m devastated to share the news that due to ongoing visa issues I am not able to see through any of my scheduled tour dates for the remainder of April across North America, including Ceremonia and other performances,” FKA twigs wrote.
“I promise that I am working to reschedule the affected dates as quickly as possible.”
The singer revealed that the visa issues arose because her production team did not fill out the correct paperwork in a timely manner. She is currently working on finding new dates for her shows in San Francisco, New York, and Toronto. FKA twigs had been set to perform at Axe Ceremonia in Mexico City on Sunday, April 6, before heading to Indio, California, for performances at Coachella on Friday, April 11, and Friday, April 18.
This return would have marked a noteworthy moment for the artist, who last performed at the festival in 2019.
