J-Hope of BTS to debut solo on 'Tonight Show'

J-Hope of the K-pop supergroup BTS will make his solo debut on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” next week. The rapper-dancer is set to perform on the popular U.S. late-night talk show on March 10 at 11:35 p.m. ET. While BTS has appeared on the program numerous times as a group, this will be J-Hope’s first time appearing alone.

The upcoming performance follows the release of his new digital single, “Sweet Dreams,” featuring American singer Miguel, which drops on March 7 at 2 p.m. KST (midnight ET). J-Hope, who completed his mandatory military service in South Korea last October, has had a busy start to 2025.

In January, he announced dates for his “Hope On the Stage 2025” world tour and teased new music. The 31-year-old artist has collaborated with various musicians over the past year. His March 2024 EP, “Hope on the Street Vol.

1,” included tracks featuring fellow BTS member Jung Kook, producers Benny Blanco and Nile Rodgers, and Le Sserafim’s Huh Yunjin. More recently, J-Hope teamed up with Don Toliver and Pharrell on “LV Bag.”

BTS has made memorable appearances on “The Tonight Show” in the past, first gracing the stage in 2018 with performances of “Idol” and “I’m Fine.” They returned virtually during the COVID-19 pandemic to uplift fans and later in 2021 for renditions of their hit singles “Butter” and “Permission to Dance.”

Fans can catch J-Hope’s solo debut on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” which airs weeknights on NBC at 11:35 p.m. ET and is available for streaming on Peacock.
