The hit K-dramas “The Art of Negotiation” and “For Eagle Brothers” achieved new ratings milestones last night. “The Art of Negotiation” wrapped up the first half of its run with an average nationwide rating of 8.0 percent, setting a personal record for the show. Meanwhile, “For Eagle Brothers” remained the most-watched show of the weekend, also reaching a new high with an average nationwide rating of 20.7 percent.
In the sixth episode of “The Art of Negotiation,” the M&A team, led by Yoon Jun-ho (Lee Je-hoon), narrowly avoided bankruptcy for their industrial group by securing a crucial contract with the Japanese company Shimizu. The team strategized expertly, with the youngest member, Choi Jin-soo (Cha Kang-yoon), connecting with Hirose (Hitomi Miyauchi) from Shimizu and gathering insights about internal conflicts within the company. Yoon Jun-ho suggested payment in advance to enable the industrialists to secure large supplies at favorable prices.
However, production plant manager Naito (Aoki Munetaka) unexpectedly opposed the deal due to a personal vendetta related to past events involving his family’s business and Wind CEO Park Rae-kyung (Kim Chang-wan).
Setbacks in negotiations resolved respectfully
The team discovered that Naito harbored resentment over perceived disrespect towards his father’s craftsmanship.
Yoon Jun-ho presented a letter and photograph from Park Rae-kyung, clarifying misunderstandings and showcasing genuine respect for Naito’s father’s legacy. Moved by the sincerity, Naito agreed to the contract, allowing the industrial group to secure favorable terms and stabilize their stock prices. Despite this triumph, new challenges emerged as the industrial group faced the threat of collapse if Chairman Song Jae-sik (Sung Dong-il) couldn’t repay a significant loan.
The repayment crisis hinted at more dramatic twists awaiting the M&A team in their ongoing saga. Episode 5 of “The Art of Negotiation” is set to release this weekend, with new episodes available for streaming on Viki at 7:00 PM IST each Saturday and Sunday. The series continues to captivate viewers with intense negotiations, strategic power plays, and unexpected twists, promising a thrilling ride through the world of corporate battles and high-stakes deals.
