Jason Isaacs has revealed that friendships were both made and lost during the filming of the third season of “The White Lotus.” The British actor, known for his role in “Harry Potter,” stars as wealthy financier Timothy Ratliff in the acclaimed series. Isaacs described the filming experience as “a cross between summer camp and ‘Lord of the Flies’ but in a gilded cage.” The series was shot over seven months in Thailand, with the cast and crew staying at the luxurious Four Seasons Hotel in Koh Samui, which also serves as the hotel’s on-screen location. “I became very close to some people and less close to others, but we all had that experience together and there’s a certain level of discretion required,” he noted. Isaacs’ co-star, Aimee Lou Wood, who plays the spiritual hotel guest Chelsea, also shared her perspective on the unique filming environment.
Describing it as “like a social experiment,” she remarked on the surreal nature of living in the hotel where they also filmed. “I don’t know whether I’d describe it as fun,” she said. “It was more like… amazing in the true sense.
