Bill Burr slammed liberals for their lack of action against controversial figures like Elon Musk during a recent interview. Burr was promoting his new Hulu comedy special “Drop Dead Years.”

“This is why I hate liberals,” Burr said. “It’s like they have no teeth whatsoever.

They just go, ‘Oh, my God. Can you believe this? I’m getting out of the country.’ You’re going to leave the country because of one guy with dyed hair plugs and a laminated face?

Why doesn’t he leave? Why is he not stopped? What are we so afraid of?

Burr accused Democratic politicians of failing to effectively push back against figures like Musk. He also criticized what he called the phony ideology of cancel culture, which he believes targets comedians rather than more dangerous groups.

“You can get canceled as a comedian for making a Caitlyn Jenner joke, but this guy can Sieg heil and nothing happens,” Burr said, referring to a controversial hand gesture Musk made at a presidential inauguration. “Where are all the liberals who speak truth to power?”

Musk faced backlash after slapping his hand on his chest and extending his arm out during a speech in January, a move many interpreted as a Nazi salute. Musk’s representatives claimed it was “an awkward gesture in a moment of enthusiasm, not a Nazi salute.”

Burr expressed frustration that while liberals focus on canceling comedians over relatively minor issues, they do little to combat what he sees as greater societal threats.

His commentary blends humor with sharp political observations, targeting both sides of the political spectrum. “Liberals are so f—ing stupid, the way that they handle Trump,” Burr previously said on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” “You should shut up! He’s a narcissist. Neutral energy. Neutral.”

Burr’s new comedy special “Drop Dead Years” is set to premiere on Hulu soon, promising more of his unique take on contemporary issues.

The comedian is known for his rage-fueled humor but has been working on showing more vulnerability in his act lately.
