Justin Baldoni files amended lawsuit against Blake Lively

Actor Justin Baldoni has launched a new website as part of his ongoing legal battle with “It Ends With Us” co-star Blake Lively. The website features an amended complaint filed against Lively and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, as well as a 168-page “timeline of relevant events” showcasing emails and texts related to the case. Both documents were filed in New York federal court ahead of the case’s first hearing.

Lively has accused Baldoni of sexual harassment on the set of “It Ends With Us” and filed a suit against him, his studio, and former PR representatives in December. Baldoni, in turn, filed a $250 million suit against The New York Times for an article regarding Lively’s lawsuit and an alleged smear campaign against him. He later named Lively and Reynolds in a separate $400 million defamation lawsuit.

Baldoni’s new documented accusations

Baldoni’s amended complaint alleges that Lively had been working with The New York Times weeks before the article was published. The lawsuit claims that metadata embedded within the article indicated the outlet had begun building the story as early as October 31, 2024.

Baldoni’s attorney, Bryan Freedman, stated that the decision to amend the lawsuit was due to new evidence that corroborates their belief that Lively and her team colluded to destroy reputations through lies, false accusations, and manipulation of communications. The New York Times Company’s representative, Danielle Rhoades Ha, pushed back against the claims, asserting that the date referenced was generated by Google software and unrelated to when The Times received and published the complaint. The case heads to court on Monday, with a trial date set for March 9, 2026.

As both sides prepare, the public release of communications between Baldoni, Lively, and Reynolds continues to add fuel to the legal fire. Lively’s legal team has accused Baldoni’s attorneys of attempting to sway potential jurors through pretrial publicity, while Baldoni’s team contends they are merely presenting facts to defend their clients.
