The Chicago show is part of Acid Bath’s 2025 reunion plans, which include appearances at several prominent festivals and venues across the United States. The band’s current tour itinerary features performances in New Orleans, Columbus, Daytona Beach, Brooklyn, Mansfield, Los Angeles, Louisville, and Sacramento. During their initial run in the 1990s, Acid Bath released two highly influential albums: “When the Kite String Pops” (1994) and “Paegan Terrorism Tactics” (1996).

The band’s reunion lineup will consist of lead singer Dax Riggs, guitarist-vocalist Sammy “Pierre” Duet (now of Goatwhore), guitarist-vocalist Mike Sanchez from the classic lineup, drummer Zack Simmons, and bassist Alex Bergeron. Notable support acts joining Acid Bath at various shows include Eyehategod, Exhorder, Wailin Storms, High on Fire, Windhand, Pig Destroyer, and The Obsessed.

Pre-sale details for the Chicago show and other headlining dates will be announced soon. This series of performances is eagerly anticipated by fans who have waited nearly three decades to see Acid Bath live again. The band’s return marks a significant moment in the sludge metal scene, as their influence has been felt across the genre since their initial breakup in 1997 following the tragic death of bassist Audie Pitre.
