Kristin Cavallari recently reunited with her 8th grade boyfriend, Johnny, during a stop on her “Let’s Be Honest” podcast tour. Cavallari had lost her virginity to Johnny in middle school and held the relationship in high regard over the years. Leading up to the reunion, Cavallari and Johnny had reconnected and talked for a few weeks.
She even prepared him for the onstage meeting to make him comfortable. However, the reunion did not go as planned. “Johnny came up on stage, and I was so excited, but it was the complete opposite of how I had envisioned it,” Cavallari shared.
“He was nervous and, as a result, decided to give me a hard time and put me on blast. It really threw me. I was really let down.”
Cavallari explained that the person who appeared on stage was different from the person she had been talking to in the weeks prior.
After the event, Johnny reverted to being sweet and kind, even giving her a big kiss on the cheek.
Cavallari’s emotional podcast reunion
The mixed signals stirred up a lot of emotion for Cavallari about the choices she made in her relationships.
“I realized how far I’ve come, specifically in terms of the guys I choose to let into my life,” she said. The reunion was so impactful that it brought her to tears. “I’ve never understood why the men in my life have always wanted to put me down publicly.
It’s been a really s–t feeling,” she confessed. Cavallari shared a message of self-love: “I love myself. Instead of giving that ‘love’ to those random people, I’m going to start giving it to myself.
I’ve decided to start fresh and be serious about who I let into my life.”
Since her 2022 divorce from Jay Cutler, Cavallari has been open about dating but is now focusing on herself. “I think now I’m just going to start pouring all of that love back into myself. When the right guy comes, he’ll come.
But I’m not going to worry about it,” she maintained.
