Porsha Williams recently addressed various aspects of her personal life during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live. The former Real Housewives of Atlanta star spoke about her ongoing divorce from Simon Guobadia, criticisms from fellow cast members, and the status of her relationship with ex Dennis McKinley. Porsha, 43, responded to Kelli Ferrell’s comments suggesting she “stole” Simon from Falynn Pina.
“She was having a moment. She definitely was reaching for it,” Porsha said. Regarding her late arrival to Shamea Morton’s party, Porsha acknowledged it was an issue among the Housewives.
“In the Housewife world, if you’re late, it’s a thing,” she explained, mentioning unavoidable delays that caused her tardiness. Porsha provided an update on her divorce from Simon, revealing it has not been finalized due to his detention by ICE in Georgia. “Our last court date, he requested for it to be in person.
I wish him well. I pray for him and his family,” she added, noting that a breakdown in communication was the “final straw” in their marriage. Speaking about co-parenting with Dennis, Porsha expressed positivity.
“It’s always good when I’m single,” she clarified, dismissing the idea of rekindling their relationship. Porsha also discussed her interactions with other cast members, revealing mixed feelings about the new Housewives. She jokingly described her dynamic with Kelli as “like oil and vinegar” and expressed hope for the return of former cast member Kim Zolciak.
Reflecting on the state of reality TV, Porsha addressed comments from Dr. Simone Whitmore, who labeled her the “number one mean girl on Bravo.” Porsha shrugged off the comments, suggesting Dr. Whitmore might have been seeking airtime.
Porsha also expressed excitement about the upcoming work of former Bravo’s Chat Room co-host Hannah Berner, hinting at potential future collaborations. The Real Housewives of Atlanta airs Sundays at 8/7c on Bravo. In related news, Porsha has accused her ex-husband Simon Guobadia of causing his own detention by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
According to legal documents, Guobadia, a Nigerian citizen, filed an emergency motion to delay a hearing in their divorce proceedings after being detained by ICE on February 25.

Williams opposed this motion, describing Guobadia’s detention as “self-inflicted.” She contended that Guobadia requested the hearing be held in person, which led to complications when he was detained.
Guobadia claimed his detention hindered his ability to prepare for the hearing and coordinate with his legal counsel. However, Williams argued that Guobadia’s presence was not legally necessary for the hearing, which involved contract interpretation of their prenuptial agreement rather than factual disputes. Williams further declared that Guobadia’s detention was due to his own actions and multiple attempts to “illegally enter and remain” in the United States.
She maintained that granting a continuance would unfairly benefit Guobadia for problems of his own making. Despite Williams’ objections, Guobadia’s motion for continuance was granted by a judge on February 26. A new hearing date has yet to be scheduled.
In the Season 16 premiere of RHOA, Porsha candidly discussed the challenges she faced in her divorce from Simon. She admitted feeling a deep connection with Simon, believing they could conquer anything together. However, communication between the two broke down following a bad argument on Valentine’s Day, with Porsha claiming Simon has since refused any attempt at communication.
Porsha revealed that she tried reaching out to Simon just two weeks before filming to find some peace, but he was unresponsive. “I’ve just given up on that part. So, now I have to become the person he’s saying.
Now I have to be cold; now I have to just move forward in the court process,” she confessed emotionally. Despite their public split, Porsha continued to put on a brave face on social media, pretending things were fine. She mentioned learning from her first marriage, ensuring a prenup was in place to protect herself and her 5-year-old daughter.
Porsha noted that issues such as Simon allegedly concealing finances and a potential “foreclosure notice” contributed to her decision to file for divorce. “I felt the need to file when I did to protect assets,” she stated. Additionally, Porsha expressed frustration over Simon’s continued communication with her friends and his social media behavior.
“Everything he’s posting, his constant attacks, him talking to all my friends, him lying. He’s a nightmare,” she told a friend during the premiere episode. The couple announced their split after 15 months of marriage, with Porsha now focusing on moving forward.
Fans can catch more of Porsha’s story as The Real Housewives of Atlanta airs Sundays at 8/7c on Bravo and streams the next day.
