SZA joins Kendrick Lamar for Super Bowl performance

Kendrick Lamar and his musical guest SZA will headline the 2025 Super Bowl Halftime Show. The performance will take place at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans on February 9, 2025, during the break between the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles game. Lamar and SZA will perform live for over 80,000 spectators in the stadium.

Roughly 100 million viewers are expected to watch from home. This will be Lamar’s second appearance on the halftime stage. He previously performed at Super Bowl LVI.

“Will you be pulling up? I hope so. …

I won’t want you to miss it,” the Pulitzer-winning rapper said in a statement in September 2024. “Wear your best dress, too, even if you watch it from home.”

SZA expressed her excitement about partnering with Lamar for the event. She called him “the perfect choice for the musical event.”

Lamar emphasized the significance of his performance.

He highlighted the impact of rap music. “Rap music is still the most impactful genre to date.
