Brooke Shields stars in new Acorn TV crime drama

Brooke Shields is making a comeback to television in a new crime drama series called “Allie & Andi.” The show will premiere on Acorn TV in 2026. Shields will star in and executive produce the six-episode murder mystery. “Allie & Andi” is set in a quaint New England colonial town.

It follows a bestselling novelist who teams up with an aspiring writer and influencer to find the killer of a close friend. The series is created by Robin Bernheim, known for her work on “Star Trek: Voyager,” “When Calls the Heart,” and “The Princess Switch.” Shields previously worked with Bernheim on season 10 of “When Calls the Heart.”

Shields expressed her excitement about the project, saying, “I’m overjoyed to collaborate once again with the incredible Robin Bernheim who has created two strong, smart women you want to root for within ‘Allie & Andi.’ The writing and storytelling really resonate with me, and this is a project I’m not only proud of but a role I can’t wait to play.”

Shields is known for her acting, modeling, and writing career that began when she was just eleven months old. She has received two Golden Globe nominations for her work on “Suddenly Susan” and has won five People’s Choice Awards. Her most recent project was the Netflix romantic comedy “Mother of the Bride,” which reached #1 globally on the platform’s charts.

“Allie & Andi” is a co-production between AMC Studios and Dynamic Television. Bernheim and Shields will executive produce alongside Daniel March and Carrie Stein for Dynamic and Rob Fox and Shannon Cooper for Acorn TV/AMC Studios. AMC Studios/Acorn TV hold distribution rights in North America, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand, while Dynamic Television will serve as the international distributor.
