Charli XCX dominates BRIT Awards 2025

Charli XCX stole the show at the 2025 Brit Awards, held at the O2 Arena in London. The singer won both the Artist of the Year and Album of the Year awards for her album “Brat.”

Hosted by comedian Jack Whitehall, the ceremony featured performances from Sabrina Carpenter, Teddy Swims, and Jorja Smith. The event also paid tribute to the late pop star Liam Payne.

Charli XCX took home a total of four awards.

In addition to Artist and Album of the Year, she won Song of the Year for her collaboration with Billie Eilish on “Guess” and Best Dance Act. While accepting her second award of the night, Charli thanked her producers AG Cook, Finn Keane, and George Daniel.

She said, “Dance music is euphoric and allows me to escape and feel on a deep level.”

Other winners included Sam Fender for Best Alternative Rock, JADE for Best Pop Act, and Ezra Collective for Best Group. The Last Dinner Party won Best New Artist after previously winning the Rising Star Award. In the international categories, Chappell Roan won Artist of the Year and Song of the Year for her hit “Good Luck, Babe!” Irish rock band Fontaines DC took home the prize for International Group of the Year.

Charli’s big night at BRITs

The ceremony featured a poignant tribute to Liam Payne, who passed away last October at age 31. Sabrina Carpenter received the Global Success prize, presented by Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown.

The Brit Awards 2025 celebrated a wide range of talent and highlighted the dynamic nature of today’s music industry. It honored the best in British music while also recognizing international artists on a global stage. Charli XCX and Maura Higgins also turned heads with their daring fashion choices at the event.

Charli wore a sheer black gown revealing black underwear and a nude corset. Higgins stepped out in a structured see-through black dress with a black thong and no bra. The annual Brit Awards celebrate successes in the music industry and introduce emerging talent.

Proceeds from the event go toward charitable causes focused on improving lives through music and the creative arts.
