Eddie Murphy to star in Blue Falcon

Eddie Murphy is set to star in the upcoming action comedy “Blue Falcon,” a film about a retired superspy. Sony recently acquired the script penned by Chad St. John, known for his work on “London Has Fallen.”

In “Blue Falcon,” Murphy will play a former superspy who attends the destination wedding of his estranged son.

There, he encounters his old archrival, setting the stage for an action-packed and comedic adventure. The film will be produced by John Davis and Cliff Roberts through Davis Films and Syndicate Entertainment. Murphy and Charisse Hewitt-Webster will also produce through Eddie Murphy Productions.

Murphy leads action-comedy adventure

Murphy, represented by WME, ML Management, and Ziffren Brittenham, recently starred in Netflix’s “Beverly Hills Cop: Axel Foley.” He has several upcoming projects, including a collaboration with Bill Condon on a film about Parliament Funkadelic founder George Clinton. Additionally, Murphy is set to reprise his role as Donkey in the upcoming “Shrek” movie alongside Mike Myers and Cameron Diaz.

The film is scheduled for release by DreamWorks Animation in December 2026. Chad St. John, represented by UTA, Syndicate, and Hansen Teller, adds “Blue Falcon” to his growing list of action-packed scripts.

As anticipation builds for this new Eddie Murphy project, fans can look forward to seeing the legendary actor showcase his comedic and action skills in what promises to be an entertaining and thrilling film.
