Orange Goblin, the London-based metal band, has announced they will be disbanding after their 2025 tour. The band, formed in 1995, revealed the news in a social media statement earlier today. “As Orange Goblin enters its 30th year of existence, we have made the collective decision that 2025 will be our last,” the statement read.
“Maybe not forever and who knows what could be possible further down the line.”
Over their 30-year career, Orange Goblin has released ten studio albums and toured extensively around the world. They are known for their unique blend of heavy metal, classic rock, and punk rock. The band expressed pride in their accomplishments and maintaining a DIY ethic throughout their journey.
“We have never compromised to fit into any specific scene, and we feel we leave a very strong legacy,” they stated. Orange Goblin also thanked their fans for their unwavering support.
Goblin’s final tour announcement
“Nothing we have done would’ve been possible without the fans that have bought the albums, the merchandise, the show tickets and ALWAYS showed us and made us feel just how appreciated we are. We thank you all from the bottom of our hearts.”
The band will honor all the shows and festivals they currently have planned for 2025, making it the last chance for fans to see them live. Their final album, “Science, Not Fiction,” was released last year to critical acclaim.
It was their first record since lead vocalist Ben Ward quit drinking, a decision that impacted his performance and well-being positively. “There’s no downside to looking after yourself, is there? I’m 50 this year and I feel fitter and stronger than ever before, which is great,” Ward said, reflecting on his sobriety and the band’s journey.
As Orange Goblin prepares for their final chapter, fans will cherish the memories of their incredible career marked by resilience, individuality, and dedication to their craft. The band’s legacy will undoubtedly continue to inspire and influence the metal scene for years to come.
