Photographer sues 50 Cent over SUV assault

A photographer has filed a lawsuit against rapper 50 Cent, claiming the musician ordered his entourage to hit him with an SUV door. Guadalupe De Los Santos says he was knocked off his scooter and injured after attending 50 Cent’s book signing at The Grove in Los Angeles on September 11. According to the lawsuit, De Los Santos was riding his scooter near the shopping center when 50 Cent’s SUV pulled up next to him at a red light.

The front passenger door suddenly swung open, striking De Los Santos on his left side and causing him to fall to the pavement. De Los Santos believes there was no reason for the door to open other than to intentionally hit him. He claims 50 Cent instructed someone in the vehicle to do it on purpose.

The incident allegedly resulted in bodily injuries to De Los Santos and major damage to his scooter.

He says his medical bills are piling up and his injuries have forced him to miss work and lose income.

Attorney Gloria Allred is representing De Los Santos in the lawsuit, which seeks damages from 50 Cent. The rapper responded on social media by posting an old photo with Allred, writing “The moment I realized I don’t like lawyers 😆 Gloria you should know better, chase a different ambulance.”

50 Cent’s legal team says they have not been served with the lawsuit yet. An attorney for the rapper called the claim “frivolous” and vowed to seek dismissal and “the maximum costs, fees, sanctions, and other remedies available under the law” if it is filed and served.
